For Guests staying in Riverview Lodge, Outlaw Ridge, Fallen Timber Lodge, A Rolling River Cabin, or The River's Edge, you can either bring your own tube and put it in at the property or go with Rolling Thunder River Company.
When tubing down the Toccoa River, you can enjoy the river in a number of ways. If you're staying at any of our Toccoa River cabin rentals, like Riverview Lodge, Outlaw Ridge, Fallen Timber Lodge, A Rolling River Cabin, or The River's Edge, be sure to bring your own tube (or purchase at Walmart) and put in on the river. You will experience an awesome 2-hour float into Horseshoe Bend Park (provided Lake Blue Ridge Dam has not released water), which is outside of McCaysville. Have someone in your party pick you up, which is a short 15-minute drive from those cabins. This is one of our favorite summertime activities from your own cabin!
Rolling Thunder: They will shuttle you to the put-in, and you will float to the center where you parked your car from ages five and up. Floats can last from 20 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the water release from the dam at Lake Blue Ridge. They are open daily from 9 am to 5 pm.
