People always ask how the name Fainting Goat Vineyards came about. After a long, hard day of working on the vines, the owners climbed to the top of the mountain and felt like fainting, giving birth to the vineyard's unique nickname.

Yes, they do have goats! Ronnie and Reagan, their two fainting goats, welcome visitors to pet and play with them. In addition to the charming goats, the vineyard offers award-winning wines, breathtaking views, and a deep passion for their business. They warmly welcome guests to visit and enjoy their hospitality.

Nestled against the southeast side of Burnt Mountain in nearby picturesque Pickens County, Georgia, Fainting Goat Vineyards is a family-owned vineyard and winery born from a passion for great wine and a love for the earth. The vineyard features live music every weekend and a Friday Night Concert Series, both free events where guests are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy their wine on the terrace. The vineyard is dog and kid-friendly, making it a perfect destination for the whole family.

Fainting Goat Vineyards offers handcrafted wines made from the finest certified French vines, with a wine list that includes full-bodied reds, crisp, fruity whites, and sweet blends. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the scenic mountain view from the 50-foot veranda or relax inside with 30-foot ceilings and live music. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views, whether seated in the loft or tasting at the bar, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces make it a perfect spot year-round.

Visitors are invited to join the tasting room to sample wines and converse with the knowledgeable staff and winemaker. Come for the wine, stay for the view, and they look forward to sharing a glass with you soon!
