Stanley Gap Loop is some excellent North Georgia riding through the heavy forest of the Blue Ridge. The reward for the challenging climb from Stanley Gap to the top of Rocky Mountain is a 1000 ft descent over two miles on narrow singletrack with lots of roots and rocks to contend with. This route starts at the Shady Falls parking area with a pavement ride south along Aska Road. A short diversion onto Flat Creek River Road avoids a small segment of Aska Road. After 2.5 miles, you begin a climb on Stanley Creek Road. The first two miles of Stanley Creek Road are also paved. This gives way to gravel but the real climbing also begins. | The MemoriesWe absolutely loved our time here - the view is amazing! We ate on the deck every meal, made a fire every night, had morning coffee and yoga on the deck, and really enjoyed the open living to the amazing view. We ate on the deck every meal, made a fire every night, had morning coffee and yoga on the deck, and really enjoyed the open living to the amazing view. We hiked, went fishing at Carter Cay, and rented a pontoon boat at Lake Blue Ridge Marina for the day. It was a lovely trip and my kids would like to move here, so thanks for that!!! We will be back! We had a wonderful time here. Love the cozy atmosphere of the cabin. The beds were nice and relaxing. Outlaw Ridge is a fantastic place to spend time with friends! We had a wonderful time here.
