The Ocoee River is a dam-controlled river and has reliable, scheduled water releases all summer. The Ocoee has weekend releases in the spring and fall and Thursday-Monday releases in the summer. The scenery is gorgeous and it was close to Atlanta. There were 9 of us in the Riverview Lodge and it was perfect. Plenty of room, huge stocked kitchen, very clean and being on the Toccoa River was an extra... We decided to take our annual girls' trip to Blue Ridge this year. The scenery is gorgeous and it was close to Atlanta. There were 9 of us in the Riverview Lodge and it was perfect. Plenty of room, huge stocked kitchen, very clean and being on the Toccoa River was an extra bonus. We had a blast and wish we would have stayed an extra day! We came to celebrate a birthday! Enjoyed the beautiful golf courses in the area. Grace Steakhouse was excellent. This cabin is what we call relaxing and beautiful. It is our second day here and we do not want to leave.
