Activities We LOVE Hiwassee River Buffalo Ridge! We spent one short week in this lovely log home and we will return next year. The cabin was spotless when we arrived. The interior decor was very attractive. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The setting (on the river) is priceless. We LOVE this cabin!  We Love This Home! We absolutely love, love, love this cabin! It is beautiful, inside and out. We couldn't have chosen a better place to have stayed. We had only come for a weekend getaway, but would now like to come back for a much longer stay. We would love to come for Thanksgiving or Christmas and hopefully see some snow. We could have really never left the cabin as it was awesome. It felt very homey and comfortable with plenty of space to relax. When we first arrived after a long drive we were a little apprehensive driving up the mountain but as the week went on we didn’t mind it at all and it really wasn’t that long of a drive into Blue Ridge. The town has everything you could want. The area is beautiful and the people are very friendly. We were there in the summer and found the weather quite pleasant, not too hot and humidity was lower than expected. This weekend, my friends and I stayed at Riverview Lodge. This cabin is amazing! It offers 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. With a group of 10, we had plenty of room. This cabin is amazing! It offers 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. With a group of 10, we had plenty of room. The views of the river and the mountains from this cabin are spectacular. We took a hike on the trail and relaxed in the gazebo next to the river. It snowed while we were visiting, which was an added bonus. We fired up the fire pit outside and laughed and talked for hours. This was a special trip for 5 couples. The rooms are very spacious and well furnished. All amenities are included with the cabin. I would recommend this place to couples, large families, or anyone who wants a little taste of country paradise. We will be returning very soon!!! |
