Wonderful, Relaxing Valentine's Day Weekend

This was our second stay at Sanctuary, and it was a great way to spend a long Valentine’s Day weekend! We kept the fireplace busy and though the air was cold, the sun was warm. We enjoyed gazing out at the surrounding mountains and pastures from the porch. We also enjoyed massages at Serenity in the Mountains and dinner at Harvest on Main. A wonderful, relaxing weekend at our favorite cabin!

Wonderfully Peaceful

We had a wonderfully peaceful time in the cabin over the weekend. Afternoon rains were perfect. No bugs even!

Worth the 9-hour Drive!

Great time at Majestic Lake Cabin. Myself, my brother, and our kids had a wonderful time. The cabin was lovely, with beautiful mountain and lake views from the upper and lower back decks. It was fully furnished and had all the amenities you would want or expect on a vacation (2 TV's, pool table, hot tub, Wi-Fi, and fully furnished kitchen). Great location also. We went boating, fishing, tubing, and to a mountain festival, and everything was less than a 30-minute drive away. You also feel like you're in the mountain wilderness, but you're only 10-15 minutes away from civilization (grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, Walmart, etc). The booking process was also easy. Did most of it online, with a few e-mails, and 1 or 2 calls (just to confirm details). Overall, very pleasant experience. My 15-year-old-daughter wrote some nice comments in the guest book in the cabin. The one thing that she said that probably best summarized our experience....."It was worth the 9-hour drive from VA!"

Had a great birthday trip at Hemlock Hideaway. The house was clean and felt cozy and roomy. Would definitely return.

I wanted to spend my December birthday in a beautiful cabin in the mountains and this was the perfect place! The cabin is gorgeous and we had a fabulous time! The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen totally equipped, loved the pool table and the fireplaces! On our drive from Atlanta, we stopped to buy food supplies and we were set! One day, we ventured into the quaint town and shopped and grabbed a bite. Walmart was close by, so if you need anything, it's easy to get - although we never wanted to leave! We would definitely return and recommend this rental to anyone looking for a luxury cabin experience.

Would Definitely Stay Here Again

The cabin was conveniently located to restaurants, downtown, and a grocery store. The directions were perfect and easy to follow. We were amazed at how well stocked it was, down to toiletry items on every bed with fresh towels. There was nothing we needed during our stay that wasn't there, as board games were provided, a coffee pot, towels for the hot tub, and firewood along side the pit. All we needed to take was clothes and food for a wonderful weekend. The view to the water from the porch was incredible, and we took a wonderful walk along the tracks and were surprised by the Blue Ridge railroad. So beautiful to have coffee on the deck on the crisp mornings and watch the sunrise. Would definitely stay here again and will share with friends. 

Would Definitely Stay Here Again!

We stayed in the Cabin Retreat in Atlanta for a family wedding w/our 2 young children and loved the house. The house was very spacious, clean, and convenient to many areas of the city. Cabin rental staff was very helpful and prompt in answering any questions we had about the property. I would definitely stay here again if we return to Atlanta!

Thank you for opening up this comfortable cabin. It was just what the doctor ordered. This environment is perfect for rejuvenation. My husband and I arrived Monday after a scenic route. It rained Tuesday so we didn’t go anywhere, but enjoyed the surroundings and animals - deer, groundhogs, and Charlie the Koi. My husband caught two fish in the pond after the rain slowed down. Wednesday - we went on hikes - the waterfalls are beautiful. We met some locals at the bar/restaurant - great and friendly.  Thursday came too soon. We should have booked a full week, however I wanted to stay at this cabin and it was worth it. Thank you for everything! We will be back…
