We had a great time fishing, seeing the deer and ground hogs. Sitting by the fire and watching the fireflies was magical. We can't wait to come back!

We had such an amazing time. The property is glorious and we enjoyed walking down by the river. The weather has been in the low 20s in the morning but has warmed up nicely around the afternoon in November. At night, we enjoyed the music from google and roasting smores. What a memory we will share forever! We visit Blue Ridge at least three times a year, and this was our first visit this year. We couldn't have asked for a better cabin! Many thanks from the Baric family! All the way from Bosnia! A Magical Week and Proposal at Mayfly Lodge We had a wonderful time exploring the area and hanging our in the cabin. We grilled a steak and mushrooms almost every night. We made it to the Swan Drive-in double feature - definitely a must for all future trips to Blue Ridge. We walked down the path to the railroad tracks, went about .1 miles to the right, and found a beautiful riverfront park. We tied some rafts to a tree and relaxed in the Toccoa River. During this magical picnic, the most amazing man in the world asked me to marry him. Best day ever! There is good sightseeing in Helen. The orchard tours are weekends only, but Bear Claw Vineyards is open all week. We played piano in the Treehouse and relaxed with a surprisingly difficult puzzle. This is a beautiful area and a great escape. (I said YES!!) A Magical Weekend Thank you for sharing your beautiful mountain getaway with us. The details are amazing! My beautiful daughter shared and celebrated a birthday milestone (25 years young)! Anayesik, her best friend, planned this retreat and we are very thankful for the beautiful friendship, and thankful that she wanted to spend this time with family. A Majestic Easter What a pick! Having not much clue about the area or this cabin, I think we picked a winner. Such a joy to get out into the mountains for Easter. The cabin made us feel at home immediately—so comfortable and well set out with a beautiful rustic feel. We enjoyed playing pool and working through the DVDs, and the hot tub view was incredible. Thanks for adding touches like modern appliances (eg. the ipod dock) and lots of kitchen goods to cook with. We did have an indoor Easter hunt, too—I think we found them all...sorry! :) We loved our time here and hope to return during our year in Florida. Thanks for helping us have a romantic weekend out of the city! A Memorable Week My wife and I - along with our great niece and a friend - had a very enjoyable and memorable week here in Hiwassee River Sanctuary. Found some unexpected treasures, so local "off-the-radar" get-aways and took in some area attractions. I went to school in the Great Smokey Mtns. This trip reminded me just how much, and why, I love the mountains. We've gone on vacation the past few years to the beach - everyone's default location - so I wasn't sure how this would go... Especially with two youngsters along. This has been one of our best weeks off in a very long time. Lots of good times and good memories. ~The Fultons A Memory That Will Last Forever Mayfly is a beautifully appointed luxury cabin, the decor and amenities are fabulous. Great taste. Tony and I thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful getaway, especially the hot tub. Perfect weather and the temperature was just right.
